1 large onion
three sweet potatoes (optional: also carrot)

cumin to taste

Chop the onion into small cubes, peel 2-3 sweet potatoes (depending on their size) and slice into cubes. Fry the onion and potatoes in a pot with a bit of oil. You can also add several garlic cloves. Next spice it up with salt, pepper and cumin.
Add the rice and keep frying for just a little bit more. Add boiling water (two water cups per rice cup). Finally, cover the pot and cook over small fire for 15-20 minutes until all the water's gone.
